Allen “Birddog” Jennings, as were all his brothers and sisters, was a great athlete. He served as an educator, most of his career at Wytheville Community College, near Fries. He also served as a coach at the college, and the sports field is named in his honor. This photo was taken around 1969. Birddog is still very active, and lives in Wytheville.
